If you've ever gone looking for an oversized steel Rolex Day-Date and come up empty-handed, you already understand the appeal of this watch. Rolex never made one — but Tudor, their sister brand with the Shield, quietly did.
Tudor Date+Day
$4,250.00
The "Jumbo" 7020/0 was produced only for a few short years between the late 1960s and early 1970s, in a small enough run that it has largely slipped under the radar of even serious vintage collectors. They surface infrequently, and good examples tend to disappear quickly. This one wears a clean silver-cream dial — a crisp, with a lovely patina built over 50 years.
At 39.5mm, the steel Oyster case shares its proportions with the era's Submariner and GMT-Master, making it an ideal daily size with real presence on the wrist. The day wheel at 12 o'clock gives it added charm, while the steel rotating Turn-O-Graph bezel lends it a more sporty character than the other references with the same complication.
