Vacheron Constantin 4322 18k Shell Lugs
Pure mid-century class.
This exceptional Vacheron Constantin dress watch from the 1940s captures everything we love about vintage Swiss watchmaking — restrained design, beautiful proportions, and incredible hand-finished detail. The 35 mm 18k yellow gold case by Ed. Wenger SA wears elegantly, but the real magic is on the shell (or sometimes dubbed “triple claw”) lug design.
An untouched cream dial with applied Roman numerals at 12, 3, 6, and 9, and pointed indices elsewhere, slim gold hands, and a perfectly balanced sub-seconds register. Add the lugs and you get a case design that feels sculptural on the wrist.
Inside is the Vacheron Constantin Caliber 453, a classic manual-wind movement from one of the brand’s most celebrated periods.
Quietly sophisticated. Extremely rare. Exactly the kind of vintage piece collectors chase.
