Tudor 7019/4 Oyster Prince Date+Day Jumbo 1970
Tudor introduced the Date + Day in 1969 as a more accessible counterpart to the Rolex Day-Date—affectionately nicknamed the “Poor Man’s President.” While Rolex reserved the Day-Date for precious metals (save for the exceedingly rare reference 6611) and smaller case sizes, Tudor took a different and, in our view, more exciting path. The 7019/4 is crafted in stainless steel and sized at a larger 38mm, malong this watch wear with a distinct sporty, more versatile character.
Tudor fitted these watches with an original Rolex crown, Oyster screw-down caseback, and the deditable Rolex 7836 bracelet—a charming reminder of the two brands’ heritage. Make no mistake: there’s nothing “poor” about this watch.
Our example features a striking blue sunburst dial and presented in excellent vintage condition. Powering it is the beautifully preserved A. Schild caliber 1895, and it comes complete with all original parts—an honest, character-rich piece that effortlessly bridges elegance and everyday wear.
